O people who take pleasure in a life that will vanish,
falling in love with a fading shadow is sheer stupidity

The world is 3 days: As for yesterday, it has vanished along with all that was in it. As for tomorrow, you may never see it. As for today, it is yours, so work on it.

Knowledge is like a fruit. When a fruit grows on a branch of a tree, its weight causes that branch to bend and bow. Similarly, when knowledge increases in a person, it causes him to become humble and not Mutakabbir (proud and boastful).

"If Iblees conquers the son Adam with one of the three [things] he says,
'I will not seek anything else from him.
(1) being fond of himself,
(2) deeming his deeds to be plentiful, and
(3) forgetfulness of his sins.'"

The only real cause of the destruction of Islam would be the mistake of a respected aalim whereas a thousand mistakes of a jahil (non-aalim) would not affect Islam in the least. - Imam Abu Ali Karabisi.
