The most prayed Dua and Sunnah for Laylatul Qadr:

"Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'anee

O Allah, indeed, You are the Pardoner, You love to Pardon, so pardon me."

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

(Sunan ibn Majah)

And in another riwayah:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عُفُوٌّ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي ‏

(Sunan al-Tirmidhi)

A person who had committed a sin or many sins came to Rasoolullaah sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam crying, "Alas, my sins!"
Rasoolullaah sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam taught him the following du'a and made him repeat it three times. When he did, Rasoolullaah sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam said to him, "Now rise and go. Allah has forgiven you"

"Allahumma maghfiratuka aw-sa-'u min thunoobi
warahmatuka arjaa 'indee min 'amalee"

O Allah, Your forgiveness is far more extensive than my sins
and Your mercy is far more promising unto me than my (good) actions
(al-Hisnul Hasin)

Abu Hurairah (radiallahu anh) reported: Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, "Should I not direct you to something by which Allah obliterates the sins and elevates (your) ranks?'' They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Performing Wudu' properly, even in difficulty, frequently going to the mosque, and waiting eagerly for the next Salat (prayer) after a Salat is over; indeed, that is Ar-Ribat."
[Muslim]

Ribat means staying on the frontier of an Islamic country, for security and defense purposes. Thus, it is a continuous process of Jihad. Continuous good deeds and `Ibadah have been compared with Ribat.

Abu Hurairah (radiallahu anh) reported: Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, "He who performs his Wudu' perfectly and comes to Jumu`ah prayer and listens (to the Khutbah) silently, the sins which he has committed since the previous Friday plus three more days (i.e., 10 days) will be forgiven for him. One who distracts himself with pebbles during the Khutbah will not get the (Jumu`ah) reward."

Silence during the Khutbah is a must, otherwise, one loses the reward of Jumu`ah prayer.

In Muslim, it is reported on the authority of 'A'ishah (radiallahu anha) that Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "Everyone of the children of Adam has been created with three hundred and sixty joints; so he who declares the Glory of Allah (i.e., saying Allahu Akbar), praises Allah (i.e., Al-hamdu lillah), declares Allah to be One (i.e., La ilaha illallah), glorifies Allah, and seeks forgiveness from Allah (i.e., Astaghfirullah), and removes stone, or thorn, or bone from people's path, and enjoins good and forbids evil, to the number of those three hundred and sixty, will walk that day having rescued himself from Hell."

Abu Hurairah (radiallahu anh) reported: Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "While a man was walking on his way he became extremely thirsty. He found a well, he went down into it to drink water. Upon leaving it, he saw a dog which was panting out of thirst. His tongue was lolling out and he was eating moist earth from extreme thirst. The man thought to himself: `This dog is extremely thirsty as I was.' So he descended into the well, filled up his leather sock with water, and holding it in his teeth, climbed up and quenched the thirst of the dog. Allah appreciated his action and forgave his sins." The Companions (radiallahu anhum) asked: "Shall we be rewarded for showing kindness to the animals also?'' He (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "A reward is given in connection with every living creature."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

In the narration of Al-Bukhari, the Prophet (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallami) is reported to have said: "Allah forgave him in appreciation of this act and admitted him to Jannah."

Another narration says: "Once a dog was going round the well and was about to die out of thirst. A prostitute of Banu Israel happened to see it. So she took off her leather sock and lowered it into the well. She drew out some water and gave the dog to drink. She was forgiven on account of her action."

A narration in Muslim says: Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "A man who passed by a branch of a tree leaning over a road and decided to remove it, saying to himself, `By Allah! I will remove from the way of Muslims so that it would not harm them.' On account of this he was admitted to Jannah."

According to the narration in Al-Bukhari and Muslim: Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "While a man was walking, he saw a thorny branch on the road, so he removed it and Allah appreciated his action and forgave him."

`Umar bin Al-Khattab (radiallahu anh) reported: The Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "Whoever of you performs Wudu' carefully and then affirms: `Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallahu Wahdahu la sharika Lah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa Rasuluhu [I testify that there so no true god except Allah Alone, Who has no partners and that Muhammad ((salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) is His slave and Messenger],' the eight gates of Jannah are opened for him. He may enter through whichever of these gates he desires (to enter).''
[Muslim]

In the narration in At-Tirmidhi, it is added: "Allahummaj-`alni minat-tawwabina, waj-`alni minal-mutatahhirin (O Allah make me among those who repent and purify themselves).''

Abu Hurairah (radiallahu anh) reported: The Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "Whoever performs Hajj (pilgrimage) and does not have sexual relations (with his wife), nor commits sin, nor disputes unjustly (during Hajj), then he returns from Hajj as pure and free from sins as on the day on which his mother gave birth to him.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Abu Hurairah (radiallahu anh) reported: The Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "(The performance of) `Umrah is an expiation for the sins committed between it and the previous `Umrah; and the reward of Hajj Mabrur (i.e., one accepted) is nothing but Jannah.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

`Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As (radiallahu anhuma) reported: The Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "Allah forgives every sin of a martyr, except his debt.''
[Muslim]

I thought i'd post the following here:
From sunniforum, posted by Sinner#1

If my love is attached to Thee
Then from sin I will be free

Each time my heart will beat
Your name will resound with heat

With your name shivers my each limb
They seek to be released from whim

Allah, Allah, is my hearts speech
Your Mercy is what I beseech

The Most Merciful keep me content
With all that You have sent

Keep in my heart Your remembrance
And in Your deen and love allow me to advance

Help me in my quest
Permit me to pass the ultimate test

Save me from the clutches of Satan
Give me death upon Imaan. Aameen

i changed the first two lines a little bit.....

If my love was truly attached to Thee
Then let alone sin, of my own self I would be free

I cant do justice to the translation of this short poem, so if some one can
translate it with its poetry, please do so. (I need it in English any way)

Dunya ke liye itnee mehnat kar, jitna tujhe yaha rehna hai.
Aakhirat ke liye itnee mehnat kar, jitna tujhe waha rehna hai.

If the sin is related to the rights of Allāh ta'ālā (e.g. missing salāh) then there are three prerequisites of repentance:

1. The sinful act must be stopped immediately.

2. Great remorse and regret should be felt about having committed the sin.

3. A firm intention must be made not to commit the particular sin again.

If the sin is related to the rights of others (e.g. backbiting or refusal to settle a debt) then there is a fourth condition: the violated right must be compensated for, e.g. by repaying the debt owed. If the right violated is something that cannot be physically repaid, as for example in the case of backbiting, then it will be necessary to seek forgiveness from the person in question.

If repentance is performed with firm adherence to these conditions then forgiveness is assured. As mentioned in a hadīth, once a person sincerely repents, it is as if that sin had never been committed.

The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin. (Ibn Mājah)

The translation attempt to brother abu mohammed's poem:

Dunya ke liye itnee mehnat kar, jitna tujhe yaha rehna hai.
Aakhirat ke liye itnee mehnat kar, jitna tujhe waha rehna hai.

Work for the Dunya in proportion to your stay in it
Work for the Hereafter in proportion to your stay there
Work toward attaining the pleasure of Allah in proportion to your need for Him
Sin in proportion to your ability to bear the punishment for it
Ask only Him of that Being Who is not dependant on anyone
When you wish to disobey Allah go where He does not see you
