O My Beloved! How I Wish!

posted by ummi taalib on 8th October 2012 - 0 comments
by Mawlānā Sajid Irshad [i]I look at the past and delve into your wonderful life of events, How everything was pre-destined, all that you acquired and spent. Nothing was coincidental or a mishap, but a blessing from above sent, Indeed, those were special souls around you who came and went. I wish I was one of the loyal men around you who had seen your face,

Ramadhaan Slipping Away

posted by ummi taalib on 18th August 2011 - 0 comments
[center]Blessed days and blessed nights slipping away, Like water through our fingers flow. How much we did and how much we could have done, He, (subhaanahu wata’ala) alone knows. Time awaits no one. Like ice in the sun it melts away. Gone in a blink of an eye have the ten days of Rahmah And the rest will follow but do not give up it’s never too late, A single tear of regret is all it takes for Maghfirah.

The last words of Imam Ghazali (RA)

posted by ummi taalib on 9th April 2011 - 1 comment
Imam Ghazali woke up one early morning and as usual offered his prayers and then enquired what day it was, his younger brother, Ahmad Ghazali replied,”Monday.” He asked him to bring his white shroud, kissed it, stretched himself full length and saying “Lord, I obey willingly,” breathed his last. And underneath his head rest they found the following verses; composed by him, probably, during the night. [center]“Say to my friends, when they look upon me, dead Weeping for me and mourning me in sorrow Do not believe that this corpse you see is myself In the name of God, I tell you, it is not I, I am a spirit, and this is naught but flesh It was my abode and my garment for a time.

[center]"Once when I placed my forehead in prostration, A voice called from the ground, "Your heart is a temple of idols, So what value is your salaat?" Thought provoking words by a poet (posted on FususAlHikam's blog - Sunniforum) ...then i thought, What of Ar Rahmaan and His enveloping mercy, Al Kareem and His infinite generosity?

[i]Tears roll down my cheeks as once again my eyes set upon your picture Paper and ink do no justice to you of that I am sure But what can I do when I am not blessed with seeing you in person? Any way I can see you will remain beloved to me Oh Makkah! Oh Madeenah! When will the time come when I may visit you?

A TRUE FRIEND!

posted by ummi taalib on 24th December 2010 - 0 comments
[i]A true friend is one who shares your joy And one who is with you in times of uncertainty. It is one who wipes your tears away in grief And who cares for you sincerely. It is one who never turns away from you, And bears all your faults patiently. It is one who reveals to others what is favourable to you,
