SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH

“Haqq ko jo talaash kartaa hein, Allah ta'ala use haqq tak pohchaa detaa hein” One who searches for the truth, Allah ta'ala will lead him to it.

Today Shaytaan has made us believe that no-one remains who is on the Haqq. Do we not have the example of Salmaan Faarsi who travelled in search of the truth from one person to the other, till finally he arrived in Madinah Munawwarah?

We need to be more open-minded and make more effort to learn and understand the truth and to accept and speak out the truth with a sincere intention and the correct method.


FEAR OF SAYING THE TRUTH

We should not fear speaking out the truth as long as it is with sincerity and the correct method. We should not fear that the person will become upset, as hearts are in the hands of Allah ta'ala and He has the power to change their feelings.


TWO DIFFICULTIES FOR A MU’MIN

Shaykh says that for a Mu’min there are two things that are a test and are very difficult unless Allah’s ta'ala's special mercy and grace descends upon him.
These two things are:

1. to speak out the truth and
2. to accept the truth

and behind both are spiritual illnesses which need to be rectified. Cowardice (buzdili) and selfishness/self interest (khudgarzi) are behind not being able to speak out the truth, and pride (takabbur) is behind not being able to accept the truth.
