Words to Ponder on In Trials
30th August 2014
“How wonderful is the affair of the believer,
for his affairs are all good, and this applies to no one but the believer.
If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him.
If something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience and that is good for him.” (Muslim)
"Let the days do as they please
And be optimistic when destiny decrees
Do not despair due to the events of nights past
For the events of this world were not meant to last."
[Imam Al Shafi’ee]
Do not despair when in spite of intense supplication, there is a delay in receiving the expected gift...
He has guaranteed that He will respond in what He chooses for yourself,
and not what you choose for yourself,
and at the time He chooses
- not the time you desire.
[Ibn Ata'illah (ra)]
"A calamity which makes you turn to Allah is better for you
than a blessing which makes you forget the remembrance of Allah"
Allāh puts humans through trials to wake them up from their slumber,
so that they may mend their ways.
Shaykh Muhammad Saleem Dhorat (Hafizahullah)
