Hadith of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam:

“Wonderful is the case of the Believer – there is good for him in everything, and this is only for the Believer.
If he experiences a blessing, he is grateful to Allah – which is good for him;
and if he experiences an adversity, he is patient – which is also good for him.” (Muslim)

“Understand that whatever befalls you could not have missed you”

He has afflicted you from every direction
in order to pull you back in His direction

The potter threw the pot to break saying he would re-shape it to a better form.
Thus when the heart is broken, it becomes the receptacle of Allah’s mercies and divine reflections.

In the Heavens rose the star of my bondage”

Sorrow uproots the previous joys, then new delights springs from beyond,
Sorrow chases away the withered leaves in the heart, then new green leaves grow

Do not prevent the breakage of the heart as this is dearer in the sight of its Maker

As long as night has an end pain will cease, crisis will pass, hardship will ease.

If winter has closed the doors of your house then look forward to the coming of spring,
If the darkness of night has covered the light then look forward to the coming of bright sunshine.
