Bradley Edward Manning:

Bradley Edward Manning has been convicted by a military court on 20 charges and faces up to 136 years in prison. Many Muslims are not aware of Bradley Manning case and what it entails.

Bradley Manning leaked more than 70,000 classified US Government documents & videos to wikileaks founder Julian Assange with the most famous being July 12, 2007 Baghdad airstrike where the US military gunned down in cold blood two Reuters journalists Saeed Chmagh and Namir Noor-Eldeen. The scene didn’t end there, US military then decided to shoot at people trying to save the two Reuters Journalists.

Bradley Manning himself admitted and pleaded guilty to the leaks but he leaked the information to bring accountability to the runaway train called the US Government. The military court was not able to connect a single death to the actions of Bradley Manning.

Many of our Brothers & Sisters claim that the first thing which was created by Allah (SWT) was the “Noor” of Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassalam). They present evidence to back this claim but the primary evidence (presented) is this “narration”:

Our dear, beloved and respected Shaykh (Mufti) Taqi Usmani (HA) while addressing the British Ulamah at Luton states that there was a time when his noble father Shaykh (Mufti) Shafi Usmani (HA) went over this verse of the Qur’aan for weeks explaining it in intricate details to students of the Darul-uloom.

[9:122] It is not (necessary) for all the believers to go forth.‘; So, why should it not be that a group from every section of them goes forth, so that they may acquire perfect understanding of the Faith, and so that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may take due care (of the rules of Shariah ).

I had searched this matter for many years and failed to understand as to how using an inhaler breaks the fast. Modern day inhalers can be used with or without the spacers so there is very little chance that the medicine actually goes inside the stomach. We also know that Inhalers have no nutritional value as such, so does it break the fast?

Reviewing old Fatawa on the subject, many of them assumed that there is a danger that medication can actually go inside the stomach. This danger has been largely eliminated with Modern inhalers.

It turns out that it was my failure to understand the principles of Fiqh which led to years of confusion and research.

The issue isn’t whether the contents of an inhaler make it into the stomach or not, the issues at heart are actually two:

2 years ago I had the opportunity to meet and spend some time with Shaykh (Mufti) Ebraheem Desai Saheb (HA). We arrived a few minutes before Asar Salah and were unable to spot Shaykh (Mufti) Ebraheem Desai Saheb (HA) amongst the number of people already seated in the Masjid so we made a guess of someone who looked like a well known (global) Mufti (in our estimation) .

We were wrong!

Shaykh (Mufti) Ebraheem Desai Saheb (HA) was engaged in Salah before Fardh and he was indistinguishable from anyone else in the Masjid and dressed in a simple white Thaub.

I purposely sat next to Shaykh (Mufti) Ebraheem Desai Saheb (HA) and took notes of every posture of his Salah (to be discussed some other time).

Recently, there is a loud noise amongst certain sections that it is possible that moon is being sighted in Saudi Arabia before sunset and since the astronomical calculations are based on sunset; the calculations are to be rejected and testimony of the sighting accepted.

There are a few fundamental issues with accepting extraordinary sightings from Saudia.

There is a deviant heretic group called Ahbash in USA & Lebanon which some Ulamah even declare "Kaafir". This deviant heretic group (called AICP in English or جماعة الأحباش ) changed the Qiblah in Lebanon and also created controversy in America by changing the Qiblah direction to South-East and also making erroneous claims that “ALL” old Masajid in USA were facing South-East instead of North-East.

It is being suggested in some quarters that free for all mixed gatherings of Islamic Scholars (men and women) were the norm in Islamic society of the past where Non-Mahram men and women (teachers and students) mixed together without Niqab or physical barriers and discussions between genders took place like of which can be seen on the modern university campuses of our time.
