Sheikhul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahmatullahi 'alayh).
Why is this book looked down by some and kept in high esteem with others. Is it fake, is it dodgy, is it fabricated, is it weak.
Whats the problem, Why is it a problem, What was done to counter this so called problem.

Please note, due to time restraints, Only some of the foot notes will be added. The Narration of Imam Muhammad ibn al-Hasan Ash Shaybani The Kitab al-Athar was the first book composed in Islam after the generation of the Companions. Al-Imam al-A'zam Abu Hanifah Nu'man ibn Thabit wrote it. It comprises Ahadith that connect directly back to the Messenger of Allah sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam (marfu'), those which stop short at a Companion or one of the Followers (mawquf) and those which are attributed to the Messenger sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam directly by one of the Followers or Followers of the Followers without attribution to a Companion (mursal).

The Fiqh of Eid From Heavenly Ornaments of Imam Ashraf al-Tahanawi (Allah have mercy on him) EID PRAYER 1. The first of Shawwaal is known as Eid ul-Fitr, and the tenth of Zil Hijjah is known as Eid ul-Ad'haa. Both these days are days of festivity and celebration in Islam. On both these days it is necessary (wajib) to offer two rakaats of prayer as a form of gratitude. The prerequisites and conditions that have been mentioned for the validity and compulsion for Friday, apply for the Eid prayer as well. With the exception that for the Friday prayer the khutbah is a prerequisite and fard, while for the Eid prayers it is not fard but sunnah. Furthermore, the Friday khutbah is delivered before the prayer while for the Eid prayers, the khutbah is delivered after the prayer. However, listening to the khutbah of Eid is necessary (wajib) just as it is necessary (wajib) for the khutbah of Friday, i.e. while the khutbah is being delivered, it is haraam to talk, walk about or offer prayer. Thirteen things are sunnah on the day of Eid ul-Fitr:

This is not to accuse anyone of being a khawarij, rather something to think about. Surah Baqarah verse 204. "There is among people in this life, he whose speech will dazzle. And he will call onto Allah as a witness to what is in his heart. Yet he will be among the most vicious of enemies." . Saheeh Muslim Book 005, Hadith Number 2318. Chapter : Exhortation to kill the Khwarij.

(not sure of source, but great story) An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quran. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked, Grandpa! I try to read the Quran just like you but I dont understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Quran do? The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water. The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, Youll have to move a little faster next time, and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, I dont want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. Youre just not trying hard enough, and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, See Grandpa, its useless!

Sunnah and Bid'ah http://www.albalagh.net/general/bidah.shtml The Straight Path has been laid out. Our job is only to follow it, not to try to discover new paths. By Khalid Baig Posted: 11 Safar 1422, 5 May 2001 Once some Jewish scholars said to Sayyidna Umar bin Khattab, Radi-Allahu unhu, "The Qur'an contains a verse that if it had been revealed to us, we would have designated a day to celebrate its revelation." Upon enquiry they mentioned the verse: "This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion." [Al-Maida 5:3] "Yes, I know, the time and place when it was revealed," he replied.

WASEELAH The concept of Waseelah which the misguided Salafi sect condemns as Shirk on the basis of the opinion of Ibn Taimiyyah was never correctly understood even by him, less by his blind followers. This brief explanation cannot discuss all the baseless arguments which Ibn Taimyyah and his errant followers have presented for their condemnation of Waseelah. A book shall have to be prepared in refutation of their arguments. Should Allah Taala bestow the taufeeq and opportunity, we shall, InshaAllah, embark on such a refutation. ITS MEANING Waseelah is to supplicate (make dua) to Allah Taala by presenting the auspicious proximity to Allah Taala enjoyed by either Amaal-e-Saalihah (Righteous Deeds) or Pious beings such as the Ambiyaa and Auliya. In simple terms, Waseelah is to make dua as follows: "O Allah! Accept my dua for the sake of Your Nabi
..(or a certain Wali)
..or (a certain good deed)."

The demonstration was done by 6 year old Safiyya, who is the niece of Sheikh ul hadith Abu Nauman Abdur Raheem . MASHALLAH, may Allah grant her success in this world and in the hereafter. Some people use the hadith of the Prophet [pbuh] "Pray as you have seen me pray" falsely to proove the prayer of men and women are the same. This is in actual a gross misinterpretation of the hadith because here the Prophet (Peace be upon him) was referring to men, If we do not accept this condition then Prophet (Peace be upon him) saying that "Pray as you have SEEN me praying" would become illogical because Prophet (Peace be upon him) was "SEEN" praying with turban, praying with his ankles exposed, leading men in prayer, Above all, regarding the hadith of "PRAY AS YOU HAVE SEEN ME PRAYING" none of the major commentators of Bukhari such as Imam Ibn Hajr al Asqalani (rah), Imam Badr ud-din Ayni (rah), Imam Ibn Bataal (rah) etc... have given this interpretation like Shaykh Albani [ra] had given. Allah knows best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7ZySx-TMeY See also
