Assalamu Alaykum,
For all bloggers, when typing or pasting long articles, you can organise them by categorising each topic/section/chapter as I have done in this post.
To see how to do this, simply browse through the contents above which is generated automatically.
When an article is long, you should organise it by topic or subject change so the reader can easily browse through it. Although this example is not great as I only have one or two paragraphs in each page, longer articles will be much easier for the viewers this way.
IMPORTANT if editing with HTML editor: Please view the "Source" when editing by clicking the top left button in the editor and ensure the [page] code is at the very beginning or the first paragraph structure might break. This is flaw of the HTML editor unfortunately.
Code:
Add the following anywhere you wish to split into pages:
[page=SECTION TITLE] (where SECTION TITLE) should be replaced with the title you want to show in the contents table
Split article when:
-
there's a new sub-heading
-
the topic moves forward
-
when it's important information
Hot linking directly to a certain page will be implemented in near future if this feature is used enough. So a link to a specific section of the article can be shared.
