Du'aa' on Laylatul-Qadr (The Night of Decree)

During this blessed night, when the angels descend down to earth with the angel Jibreel عليه السلام, and when the earth is overwhelmed with peace and serenity until the break of dawn, and when the doors of Paradise are opened, the worshipper is encouraged to turn to Allaah سبحانه و تعالى, and to ask of his needs for this world and the Hereafter. Du'aa' During Ramadaan

The month of Ramadaan is a blessed month, during which the Qur'aan was revealed, and the process of inspiration started upon the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Therefore, the du'a of Ramadaan is a blessed du'aa', and this can be inferred from the Prophet's hadeeth صلى الله عليه وسلم: إِذَا دَخَلَ رَمَضَانُ فُتِّحَتْ أَبْوَابُ الجَنَّةِ ، وَغُلِّقَتْ أَبْوَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ، وَسُلْسِلَتِ الشَّيَاطِينُ [color=#351c75]"When Ramadaan comes, the Doors of Paradise are opened, and the Doors of Hell are closed, and the Shayaateen are chained up."[/color] So it can be inferred from this hadeeth that du'aa' during Ramadaan has a greater chance of being accepted, as the Gates of Paradise and Mercy are opened. The Hour When All Prayers Are Accepted!

There is a special hour on Friday (Jumu'ah), during which all prayers are accepted and answered by Allaah, all Glory and Praise be to Him. This is part of the blessings that Allaah سبحانه و تعالى has blessed this day with, over all the other days of the week. Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: فِيهِ سَاعَةٌ لاَ يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ، وَهْوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي، يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى شَيْئًا إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ ‏.‏ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ يُقَلِّلُهَا‏ [color=#351c75]"There is an hour (on Friday) during which, if any Muslim is standing in front of Allaah تعالى in salaah, and asking Allaah تعالى for something good, he will be granted his request." Fasting the Month of Ramadaan

[center][color=#0000ff]Islaam is Built Upon Five [/b]عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: سَمِعْت رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم يَقُولُ: " بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ: شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ، وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ، وَصَوْمِ رَمَضَانَ [/size] On the authority of Abu 'Abdur-Rahmaan 'Abdullaah, the son of 'Umar ibn al-Khattaab رضي الله عنهما who said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم say: [color=#351c75]"Islaam is built upon five [pillars ]: testifying that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, establishing the prayers, giving the zakaat, making the pilgrimage to the House and fasting the month of Ramadhaan." [b][center][color=#0000ff]The Meaning of [color=#0000ff]Siyaam [/i][/center][/b]Linguistically, siyaam means to abstain from something, such as abstaining from speaking. In the sharee'ah, it is a direct reference to abstaining from food, drink and sexual intercourse during the days of the month of Ramadhaan. This practice is one of the pillars of Islaam, as noted in this hadeeth.

Seeking Forgiveness for all Muslims and Praying for them

Part of the completeness of one's eemaan (faith) is that a person loves for his brother what he loves for himself. The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said, لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه "None of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." [1] In other words, no one is a true and complete believer - meeting all of the requirements and necesarry components of eemaan - until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. The Islamic Concept Of Dreams

Linguistic Definitions

A dream is a vision that a person sees during his sleep. The Arabic words for dream are ru'yaa (pl. ru'aa) and ḥulum (or ḥilm, pl. aḥlaam).

In the Qur'aan, the word ḥulum appears three times [1] - each time referring to mixed-up dreams, and the word ru'yaa appears seven times [2] - each time referring to truthful dreams.

In the Sunnah, "ru'yaa" and "ḥulum" are sometimes used interchangeably. More often, however, ru'yaa is used for a good dream and ḥulum for a bad one.

Bringing About An Islamic Society

Many scholars, such as Shaykhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله and Imaam Ibn Khaldoon رحمه الله, state that humans are social creatures. It is clear from the Qur'aan that every human being is part of a greater society and it not an island unto himself. Allaah سبحانه و تعالى says in the Qur'aan,

"O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allaah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allaah is ever, over you, an Observer." (Sooratun-Nisaa', 4:1)

In general, from birth, a human is a person's son or daughter, another's brother or sister and yet another's nephew or cousin. Furthermore, almost everyone has neighbours and many have spouses. The guidance of the Qur'aan produces not only the Islamic individual with respect to his worship and character, but beyond that it also guides humans in their relationships to one another such that they create a society based on mutual understanding, rights and responsibilities all according to the guidance of the Creator, the All-Wise, the All-Knowing. This society works together as a whole and uses all of its resources in ways that are pleasing to Allaah سبحانه و تعالى.
