Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatruh,
إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
Today is a very sad and emotional day for me! I started reading Ishtiaq Ahmed Novel at around 9 years old.
I was chastised (and punished) by my father, the teacher, the School and everybody else but the Love affair continues to this day. In fact last night, I fell asleep reading a novel (half way through).
As a child, I had no idea what Ahmadees (or Qadiyanees) were let alone much about their Aqeedah but in my young mind I knew that they had something to do with Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam).
My love for Islam, the Ummah and the glory which the Ummah deserves started with reading these Novels at a very young age.
Ishtiaq Ahmed joined the Daly Islam Newspaper children section a few years and was dedicated to the cause of promoting Islamic values in children throughout. He travelled to Karachi for the Book fair and also promoted his 801’s Novel.
May Allah (SWT) reward him with Jannatul-Firdaus (Ameen).
This is the best I can muster on a very emotional day.
