Does Europe have a problem with Islam/Muslims?

6th March 2013

Asslamo Allaikum,

The doors to Iberian Peninsula (roughly modern day spain) were opened by the Galant 17 year old Muslim General Tariq Ibn Ziyad (RA) between 711-718. Around the 29th of April 711 the army of General Tariq Ibn Ziyad (RA) landed near a mountain and against heavy odds famously ordered all the boats to be burnt and to fight for the sake of Allah (SWT) with the ocean on their back and enemy in the front.

The mountain where the army of General Tariq Ibn Ziyad (RA) drew the line in the sand and irrigated the soil of Europe with their blood of Shahadah to this day is called Jabal At-Tariq (Mountain of Tariq, latinised by later Europeans to be Gibraltar)

Allah (SWT) opened the doors of Europe to Islam and General Tariq Ibn Ziyad (RA) after heavy sacrifices entered Iberian Peninsula (roughly modern day spain) and Europe was introduced to the magnificient Islamic civilisation of science and culture of Al-Andalus.

Al-Andalus gave not only Islam but the whole modern world its sciences, technology, culture and civilisation when Europe was immersed in the Dark Ages of ignorance, superstition, ignorance, superstition, sorcery and back magic and if I start listing the contributions of Muslims of Al-Andalus we will be here forever but a significant fact which needs to be highlighted is that even the Jews count for their time under Islamic as the Golden Age of Jewish culture

The Muslim rule more or less continued until 1492 with the conquest of Grenada when things turned equally nasty for both Muslims & Jews. Muslim population was brutally targetted and forced to convert to Christianity and even then officially identified as Moriscos and kept under surveillance and never given Christian rights (of the original Christians) depite conversion!

Morisco Revolt (1568−1571) which was the Muslim struggle to take back their land in which they had lived for almost 800 years was brutally put down and Muslims were either slaughtered, converted or expelled in large numbers.

There was no doubt that the Jews also suffered and the Golden Age of Jewish culture under Islam was turned into Alhambra Decree (1492)  which ordered the expuslions of Jews from mainland Iberian Peninsula (roughly modern day spain).

Today Europe is changing, it must make amends for its past and confront aspects of its gruesome past despite economic difficulties and financial troubles.  Spain is virtually bankrupt with extremely high (dangerous) levels of unemployment  and unprecedented civil unrest due to shortage of funds to effectively run the country. Spanish authorities are cracking down on immigrants and illegal immigrants are being targeted with hefty fines and even prison sentences because they are seen to be rivals to the “Spanish” in the ever shrinking job market.

I don't need to tell you that things are bad in Spain!

Nevertheless despite the difficulties Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón (Spanish Justice Minister) still feels that Spain must continue to discover its past and announced a novel plan in November 2012 which states, "Anyone who could prove their Spanish Jewish origins, he said, would be given Spanish nationality."

It is felt that Spain must make amends for its past and do the right thing but of course the right things in Europe doesn't concern itself with Islam or Muslims, so what if:

  1. Generations of immigrants had lived in the same region for 800 years
  2. Masses of locals (Iberians) had embrased Islam
  3. Both 1 & 2 were then persecuted, targetted, force-converted and/or expelled just like the Jews

So if the question "Does Europe has a problem with Islam/Muslims?" comes into your mind bury it deep and don't even think aloud otherwise you will also be arrested and deported just like the ones before you. You will be expelled under the the Terrorism Act (2006 while Spanish Muslims were expelled under the Expulsion of the Moriscos (1609).

Acts of parliament and Actors may change, Acts usually don't!
