A man should not wear any ring but of silver. A ring of anything besides silver, such as gold is Haram. Also, iron, brass, copper, lead is Makruh for both men and women.

There is no problem in wearing a iron ring coated in silver in such a way that the iron is not visible. This will also apply to other metals including titanium but coated in silver.
