is it true that when you are doing your wudu you dont need to wear a scarf?

Assalaamualaikum w.w.

Covering the hair while making wudhu is among the etiquettes (aadaab) of wudhu. Therefore not covering the hair will not affect the validity of the wudhu in any way. It is however virtuous to do so.
