Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance)

It is proven from Mustadrak Lil Haakim and Tabraani that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) wore a turban which was the colour white.

Munaawi quotes from Sharah Zaila'i that the wearing of a black turban is Masnoon because it is proven from Hadiths. Nevertheless, the most superior is the white Turban.

(Sharah Shamaail Lil Munaawi vol. 1 pg. 165) (See also: Faizul Qadeer vol.1 pg. 655)

Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) never wore a green turban. (Sha-aabeeba al-Ghamaama fiy Tahqeeq Mas-alah al-Imaamah pg.59; Basaair)

However, some Sahaaba (Radiyallahu Anhum) have worn the green turban. (Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah).
