socks in salah

assalamualaikum,
are we allowed to read namaaz with socks
on or should we take them off?
are we allowed to go toilet at mughrib time?

1) Yes, it will be permissible to wear socks whilst praying Salah.

2) Yes, you are allowed to. One must remember unauthenticated information should be ignored for such things are baseless.
