what amout to give for zakah

salam
muftisaab i knw dat zakah is farz on a mature person n also knw dat zakah becomes farz on dat balig mature person that has got minimum �100 my question is for every �100 he has how much money will he giv in for zakah for every hundred ?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Zakat is 2.5% on eligable assets and funds therefore �2.50 will be given on every �100 on the amount on which Zakat is due.

It should be noted that the nisab is not necessarily �100 and may change according to the cost of silver and gold. At present it is approximately �120, however, this is subject to change.
