Assalamu alaikum,

If Adhan is done but no iqaamah and salaah is performed does the salaah count or should it be reperformed with iqaamah?

If you have eve come across the answer for this please let me know and I am also asking muft saheb inshallah.

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance)


The call to commence (Iqamah), like the call to prayer (Adhan) is a very strongly emphasized Sunnah (Sunnate Mu'akkadah) for congregational prayers and Jumu'ah prayer. (Nurul Idhah Pg. 58)

Therefore, to omit the Iqamah will be Makruh but Salah will be valid.


And Only Allah Ta'ala Knows Best.
