Salam

Myself & my wife are making intention for Umrah. I have heard that no Umrah takes place for up to 3 months prior to Hajj.

Can you please clarify when Umrah is acceptable/not acceptable.

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance)

To make an Umrah at anytime will be valid and acceptable. However, to perform Umrah from the day of 'Arafah (9th day) till 13th of Dhul Hijjah will be Makruh Tahreemi. (Nurul Idhah Pg. 182, Aapke Masa'il Aur Unka Hal Vol.4 Pg.50)

And Only Allah Ta'ala Knows Best.
