what is the sunnah way of wearing shoes..i was told a way and i thought if you could state hadiths of the ettiqutes of dressing and wearing shoes

Assalamu alaikum,

It is Sunnah that the person puts on his or her shoes while sitting. The evidence for this the Hadith of Jabir Ibn Abdullah that 'the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) denied that the person puts on his or her shoes while standing' [ Abu Dawood and Al-Albany graded this Hadith as correct].

This denial does not mean prohibition, it is only an advice. So, if the person puts on his or her shoes standing, he does not commit a sin.

Also, when you dress or wear your shoes it is Mustahab (preferable) to start from your right and when taking off your clothe or shoes begin from your left.

And Only Allah Ta'ala knows best.
