Assalamu alaiykum, This is a question regarding a concept portrayed by the author in question, Harun Yahya, in many of his works, that nothing in reality is real except the being of Allah (swt) and that everthing else apart from the "Real" (Allah), is just an illusion created in our heads. Please shed some light. Wassalam

Bismihi Ta'ala

This concept portrayed by Harun Yahya and held by others belong to a philosophical group known as Sofastaa'iyyah. They believe that nothing is real other than Allah. One must ask them that if you were hit by a rock on your head, do you really feel the pain, or was the pain just an illusion in your head? If everything created is an illusion, what would be the purpose behind creating such a complex universe?

Whatever the case, discussions such as these have no bearing on our deen. Whether we believe life is an illusion or that it is real, we will have to face Allah and give an account for all our actions.

And Allah knows best.
