ANSWERED: zakaat from gold saved for a cause

If someone wants to give zakaat to a woman who has three daughters and she saved Gold jewelary or clothings for her daughters wedding, is she eligible for zakaat? Does she need to give zakaat on the jewlery?


If she is the owner of the gold and her wealth exceeds the amount of Nisaab,she will be liable to give Zakaat on that gold regardless of what she intends to do with it later.
