Question: Inheritance according to shariah

Assalamualaykum


We are 2 sisters and 4 brothers, my dad has passed away so how much of the share do I get from my dad's inheritance as a daughter according to the islamic shariah?

Answer

In the name of Allah

In the above mentioned case, the inheritance will be divided into ten equal parts ( each part is equal to 10%) each brother will receive 20 % (two parts) which will make a total of 80% once distributed the remaining 20% will divided between the two sisters and each sister will receive 10 % each (one part each).

Hence, you will receive 10% of the inheritance.
