Question: Dying In Ramadhan
Salaaam

Is is true that if u die in Ramadhan, u go 2 heaven. I don't really believe that myself but I got 2 make sure.

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance)

* In Vol.5, page 299/300 Hazrat quotes Allamah Hamawi (rah) in his commentary of Al-Ashbaah Wan Nazaair of Ibn Nujaim (rah) mentioning that a Muslim transgressor passing away on a Friday or in Ramadaan will be punished in the Qabr for a brief moment, and immediately thereafter the Azaab will be lifted and he will be protected from it.

* The one who passes away in Ramadhaan is saved from the punishment of the grave in the month of Ramadhaan. (Shaami vol. 2 pg. 165, H.M. Saeed and also Fataawa Mahmoodiya vol. 5 pg.299).
