Question: Working security at a mall
Hello,

I want to work security for a mall here in the US. But the mall I want to work for is a very big mall and it has roller coasters, restaurants that sell alcohol and pork, bars, movie theater, and shopping malls that sell clothes for men and women. Would my work as a security guard be halal in Islam since I have nothing to do with the haram stuff that's going on and my job is to guard the mall and make sure everyone that goes and shops there is safe?

Working as a security guard in itself is permissible but if the work has direct link to sin like working as a bouncer for a club then it will be impermissible both work and income. If your a security guard for a mall having a mixture of Halal and Haram products/services then you will look at the source of income of the mall If majority of the source of income is derived from Haram sources like, alcohol, gambling, pork etc, which is paid to the security services then it will not be permissible. If majority is from Halal sources then it will be permissible.
If the income is not from the mall and from the security company then it will be permissible.
