If a person has reached the stage whereby he is ready for Nikaah then he must ask his parents to find him a suitable and compatible girl. If this is impossible then one may ask the elderly people of the locality or the Imaam of the Masjid to inform you of a religious partner. There are other Halaal methods such as asking trustworthy people to find you a suitable a suitable marriage partner.

Methods such as dating, chatting, texting etc are unlawful according to Shari'ah. If one argues that you must get to know the person, then I will ask, what guarantee is there that a marriage willbe successful after that? We still see the rise in dvorce rates in the UK, even though they know each other better than their own brothers and sisters before marriage.
