Inshallah this email finds you in the best of health & imaan.

Dear respected mufti saab, can you please tell me if it is permissible to use flowers as decoration for the walimah ceremony.

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance)



There is no report from the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the Sahabah (Radhiallahu Ta'ala Anhum) regarding this practice. Therefore, this practice is an innovation and not permissible.



And Only Allah Ta'ala Knows Best.
