Question: Masalla with regards to discharge and fasting
Due to a contraceptive method used, I am not getting my normal menses. However, I do have discharge throughout the month , and this can often be discoloured ie yellow in colour. Should I refrain from praying Salaat while experiencing such discharge during my Haidh time? I have been advised to not pray, however it is causing me great anxiety during the month of Ramadhaan as it seems I'm missing my fast due to something I'm not even sure of, as at times I will only get a small spot of discoloured discharge- and then nothing for 3-4 days, where upon I will take ghusl, make up for Salaats missed and then a few days later within my ten days I wil again get a small spotting. I am really confused, please advise.

Bismillahir rahmaanir rahim.

If within your ten days of haidh, you experience discharge of the colour mentioned, then it would be regarded as haidh, provided that you had the discharge for 3 days or more and not less (ie. 1 or 2 days of discharge only) within your ten days. The colour of haidh are red, black, blackish red, yellow, green and brown. If your discharge is colourless, it would not be considered as haidh.

Therefore, it would be unnecessary to perform a ghusl and make qadhaa of the salah missed unless you have been bleeding for more than 10 days.
