Question: witar after isha
in the third rakat of witar when you read dua qanoot are you ment to raise your hands in front of your chest because it is a duaa. my understanding was that if you do that and sombody walks in to the room they would not know that you are praying and might walk across in front of you. could you give proof of your answer

Bismillah

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance)

No, you do not raise your hands in front of your chest like Du'a but you fold your hands instead.
