Question: Papers With Allah's name on them
Assalamu alikum my dear respected ulama,

Alhamdulillah I have many leaflets and papers which have the name of Allah and his beloved prophets name on it. I have other leaflets with quranic ayats on them. I would like to know if permissable how to dispose of these in the corrrect manner. Now adays we hav many calenders and weddings cards with either Allahs name or the quranic verses on them.

Your time and patience is truley appreciated.

May allah reward you highley for your great efforts. Please remeber me in your duas which i am in great need of.

You can dispose of these by burning them, but only after erasing the name of Allah Ta'ala, His Angels and Messengers.

It is best to bury them so they will vanish in the earth.

There is nothing wrong with casting them into a flowing river.

It will not be permissible to burn copies or pages of the Quran even if they are no longer being used. If disposing them, they should be cast into a flowing river by tying it with something heavy or buried in a safe place.
