A person may like/desire something and not know whether it is good for him/her for the sake of their Deen. Allah knows best in all matters. The heart/mind can tell you one thing and Shaytaan is always working on the Nafs. Istikhaarah is to seek guidance in all matters and for Allah (swt) to open up a simple, easy and Islamic way of reaching a target or leaving a matter completely. |
