Bismihi Ta'aala

A man is permitted to sleep with his wife, with the condition that sexual intercourse does not take place whilst she is in 'Nifaas'. However, if the couple fear that sexual intercourse will take place, then it is adviseable and better not to sleep with the wife.

Note: the maximum time that 'Nifaas' can last for is forty days. There is no minimum time that 'Nifaas' will last for.

And Allah knows best.
