Bismillah

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance)

1) Medication is permissible. If the medication has some drowsy effect then it should be taken only when necessary and with the advise of a physician.

2) You have also requested a dua for depression.

After every Fardh Salaah, place your right hand on your forehead and read,

اللهم انى اعوذ بك من الهم والحزن

"Allahumma inni- a'uzoobika Minal Hammi-wal-huzni." (one is asking Allah Ta'ala for protection from worry and depression)

And Only Allah Ta'ala Knows Best.
