| Question: Wudu whilst reading the Quran | |
Assalamalaikum I realise that you should only read the Qur'an when you have Wudu, but when you go outside of the house, maybe on public transport etc it is not always possible to keep your wudu, is there anything else that is possible to read or recite??? |

Bismihi Ta'ala
It is necessary to be in the state of wudhu if one is touching the Mus'haf. However, one may recite Qur'an by memory, without touching the Mus'haf without wudhu.
In the example in question, you will have to perform wudhu to touch the Mus'haf. Not having wudhu facilities available does not necessitate that the ruling of having wudhu should be relaxed.
And Allah knows best. |
