| Question: Shirk? | |
| As-salāmu ‘alaykum,
I was giving my mom a massage, and she asked me to press along her arms down to her fingers to "remove bad energies." I don’t believe in that, of course, but two things came to mind: -I wanted to joke and say, “So you want to put them in me?” since I was right next to her fingers. But I didn’t say anything, because I wasn’t sure if joking about that kind of thing is appropriate. -On a more serious note, I was wondering: is believing in these kinds of body "energies" considered shirk, kufr, or is it just haram? Or is it something else entirely? |
