Question: Christmas coloring
Assalamu aleykum

I am a teacher at a public school in Germany and I teach art class in the second grade. Normally we decorate the class with our art based on the season and seasonal celebrations. I could avoid the celebration decoration until now. But now the teacher of that class and “owner” of the classroom wanted me to do some Christmas based coloring/ art to decorate her classroom with painted trees and so on. Is that in my case permissible? I hope to get an answer, since I am going to deal with that problem a lot of times. Jazakallahu khayran in advance.

الجواب حامدا ومصليا

Acknowledging other religious festivals is not sinful but venerating the festivals will be sinful. If the activities in it self is not connected to the religious festivals it will be permissible.

Putting up decorations that has connections with symbolic religious festivals like Christmas tree etc, will not be permissible.
