Why is it haram in Isalm to have sex before marriage?

First and foremost, as we are the creation of Allah, we do not have the right to question his laws as he is our master and he is wise. His wisdom is beyond human comprehension. All his laws are full of wisdom even if the wisdoms are not known to us. Sometimes our limited minds can not fully grasp the wisdoms behind certain laws but Islam means submitting fully to the commandments of Allah and not to question his wisdom.

Sex before marriage is something that is condemned in almost all societies of the world. Even in the west, sex before marriage was condemned. It is only recently, people have tried to justify this act by claiming that if it is consensual then there's nothing wrong with it. This claim is totally unacceptable. People have taken sex to be such an ordinary thing and have started to give their bodies away to be used so cheaply. In this way, they are being ungrateful to Allah for the body he has given them. There has to be limits in fulfilling ones desires. If there are no limits in fulfilling
ones desires then everything should be acceptable. Having affairs after marriage should be acceptable. Mother sleeping with son should be acceptable and father with daughter if it's consensual. But this is not the case. The permissibility of having sex isn't based on mutual consent and if it was then there would be so much chaos in the world as there is today.

The burdens that teenage pregnancies have bought upon society are known to all. The killing of innocent lives in the form of abortion is not hidden. These are just some of the ill and harmful effects of pre-marital relationships. Also, the possibility of the man leaving the woman when she falls pregnant can sometimes lead some women to depression and also, suicide. There is safety and security in the laws of Allah.
May Allah give us all the correct understanding and the ability to abstain from such grievous and dangerous sins.
