As-Salamu alaykum Sheikh, I was wondering if it is permissable to work in supermarkes such as Asda, Tesco etc due to the fact that they sell some haram products such as Alcohol. Would the income earned from working in these places be halal or haram?

Working in retail where your job role is specific with the handling of alcohol and Haram products then your job and income is impermissible. However, if it is not then you must see if the retail company majority income generates from alcohol and Haram products then in this case it will not be permissible.

One should work only in such job roles where there is no contact of alcohol and Haram products and the company’s majority income is not from these products.
