Shaikh Hasib Noor from Madinah tweeted on may 10th that tonight (Wednesday) is the 15th of Shaban and the day of the 15th of Shaban will be on Thursday. He then tweetd that Saudi High Court and others updated their calendars so Thursday night is the 15th of Shaban. I was thinking that those in the UK would be confused.

He has now tweeted that the Madinah Ramadan Announcement will be on Friday at 7 pm Makkah Time.

In the video you said more or less that people should pressure their Masajid for answers and to adopt a more correct method. Well I don't see that happening, because we are always told that laymen should leave such matters in the hands of Maulanas and Muftis, since we are too ignorant to understand such VERY complicated matters. that being said , I find that when it comes to certain issues, Masjid committees are quick to point out that we leave such matters to Maulanas and Muftis, but when it comes to other issues they are quick to make decisions on their own.

This is one matter in which most Ulama do the correct thing and the committee members don't, same thing with Salah times.

One recent video I watched by a Barelwi scholar, he states the very same thing about this issue In the Q&A. (Mufti Shams Al Huda but on Salah times)

So Sh Hasib Noor's in Madinah tweets are contradictory. His latest tweet:

"Official Announcement Makkah and Madinah Saturday will be 1st day of Ramadan Taraweeh will be prayed Friday night IA"

How can this announcement be made seeing it is supoosed to be the 28th of Shaban. That would mean Saudi follows calculations, rather than actual sightings.
