He's talking about giving up facebook and his advice was to close the account.. along with that, it would have been nice to hear, "substitute it with something much better, create an account on muftisays forums"

I have been trying to set it up on peoples phones too.

Alhumdulillah, I got the whole family sitting around a laptop listening.. strange yet awesome scene.

My brothers got speakers connected to a pc which are scattered around the house, can you imagine how good that would be. Until then....

MashaAllah and Jazakallah once again for giving us the chance to listen and learn.

I wish I was in your shoes, I could just sit back and earn reward.

I wish I could just sit back. Unfortunately, as I've always said, we lack the Barakah in time because no matter how much we want to do or can do, the only thing that's always an obstacle is time. There's just never enough time.

Amazing how time has never changed, the length of day and night is still the same. Yet the amount done is far less than what was possible a hundred years ago. Kuffar will never understand Barakah in time as it's not scientifically sound. Sad that even Muslims don't understand Barakah in time (hinting at a recent topic about full Qur'aan in one night).

Anyway, back to MSNS: ANYONE can reap the rewards, donate generously towards the servers and we'll bring you many many more Masaajid online inshaAllah. Free to listen, free for Masaajid, yet expensive in our book of Deeds, priceless even (Lillah money ONLY for this project)

Salaam.

Just a suggestion, on the internet, when we log onto livemajid.net, rather than going straight to the media player, could it go onto a website with a media player imbedded in it.

This way people will be aware of all other streams.

This webpage should have direct links to the other Masaajid together with information on how to join, donate, stream from phones, etc etc.

Also some kind of details of muftisays and its services.

I did consider that but I didn't want to use port numbers for the streams.

If there was a site on livemasjid.net, the stream address would be livemasjid.net:8080/channelname (not the best way to pass on the address to someone who is new to it)

For that reason alone, it was decided that the official site can reside on a different domain (similar) or on muftisays.com

We have not yet. However, one of the MSNS team members did forward this to a few Ulamaa in South Africa.

Darul-Iftaa have created a channel through this service already which they're working on currently.

Please feel free to send this to any Masjid that may be interested

I still think we need to have some sort of dedicated site that gives all the links for other mosques as well as instructions on how to set your self up on iPhone, Android etc.

How about we have livemasjid.com as a site where all the info can be found. It could contain a list of all the site with links, instructions, how to join, how it works, also a direct link for live Makkah added to it as a bonus. Oh and not to forget Muftisays and a donation system for this free service.

Yes, there will be a section like that for all channels etc. Still working on it as I have a private (login) section for the actual channel owners to get help documents on streaming. Soon inshaAllah.
