Although these companies certify the meat and poultry, it doesnt mean that it has been slaughtered mechanically or stunned as we have seen wtih Tahira Foods, they stun and slaughter their chickens mechanically but they do not do this with their cattle. Each abattior has its own method, but can still be certified. Many places do not stun nor mechanically slaughter but can not afford to get certified accordingly. It is all down to individual investigations.
