We have two opinions here.

On one hand we have the opinion of multiple Ulama to go ahead with the Supreme Court challenge on the other hand we have the opinion of Maulana Salman Nadwi Saheb.

Sharia tells us to ignore the minority opinion although it may well turn out to be correct (in the future) but for the time being we ignore it.

The way Maulana Salman Nadwi Saheb has gone about it is not appropriate, either!

I agree, Ml Nadwi sahib should not have started any such negotiations on his own..

A long time ago i happened to meet a very big scholar from India in Walsall. He said the place was not used as masjid since a long time, that BJP was using the whole issue as a political tool,as anti Muslim and anti Pakistan slogans sells well in India.

BJP politics is getting strength through this issue..and the party along with its branches is decidedly anti-Muslim.If SC decides in their favour they gain strength. In case SC decides against them, they still gain strength by keeping up protests and their anti Muslim rhetoric.

Negotiated settlement may serve to deflate their balloon.. hopefully.

Tough time ahead not only for Muslims but also for the secular fabric of the country. RSS is so powerful that it can challenge even supreme court verdict if goes in favour of Muslims.
Most probably RSS will compel the government to pass the bill in parliament to quash the supreme court decision.

Muslims of India must support secular forces in India, make electoral alliances with democratic forces other than BJP,avoid controversies even if it is at the cost of looking weak, and try to isolate Hindutua followers. The reasonable people in India have already acknowledged that Hindu extremism is a recipe for disaster and they are looking for other options. Let Indian Muslims NOT provide them with fuel to keep the fire of hatred burning.Minority politics is a different and difficult game.It is not time to get emotional. We must take advantage of the ‘strengths’ and ‘weaknesses’ of Indian democracy where VOTES count and we have so many votes that no body can ignore us PROVIDED OUR VOTE GO TOGETHER IN ONE DIRECTION to make sure BJP is defeated in next election. For bigger gains we will have to make minor adjustments.

The Ram Janmabhoomi movement is a regression to irrationality and communal perversity.

I shall die a miserable wretch if I don’t utter the truth I know. I follow Maharshi Dayanand. He saw paramatma (or God) as the light of truth. And truth cannot be stretched to suit convenience nor shrunk to fit cowardice.
The Ram Janmabhoomi movement is a political ploy, conceived in cynical electoral calculations, in which the faith of the masses is deployed only as firepower and fraudulently projected as religious fervour. I am surprised that anyone can determine the exact place of Lord Ram’s birth, born thousands of years ago. The question of someone usurping Ram Lalla’s real estate comes only if the exact spot of his birth is determined. There are 16 rival claimants to this distinction in Ayodhya itself.
I have participated in various efforts to settle this dispute from the time of Rajiv Gandhi. Rajiv must bear a large share of the blame for reviving this imbroglio. If ever there was a monument to the appeasement politics of the Congress, it is this issue. The party played both sides of the game. And who does not know that P V Narasimha Rao, as prime minister in 1992, connived in the demolition of the masjid, if only to get a thorn out of his path?

I participated in Prime Minister V P Singh’s effort to settle the dispute. L K Advani was offered a vast stretch of land, adjoining the site of the mosque — nearly 60 acres, in lieu of 2.7 acres. It was his shrewd unwillingness to settle the dispute that made him invent the obstinate slogan, “mandir wahin banayenge”. Justice Krishna Iyer, B G Verghese and I pursued the issue with Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar and, when matters seemed poised for a settlement, Rajiv Gandhi became worried that the credit would go to the then PM, and he brought down the four-month-old Union government on a flimsy pretext.
All along, the Muslim side of the dispute was eager to have the matter settled. I was in regular touch with Syed Shahabuddin, who was then convener of the Babri Masjid Action Committee. Then, as now, all they wanted

I agree with you.

Moreover, all Political parties are also worried as their political career is in darkness in case they fail to stop BJP in next year elections.

Maulana Nadwi (HA) Saheb has given a latest statement and said that if anything happens Jamiat and AIMPLB will be responsible for the damage to the Muslims.

This is an exaggeration! No matter what the Supreme court says, Indian Muslims will suffer and may Allah (SWT) protect them (Ameen).

Maulana Nadwi (HA) Saheb has an opinion and that is fine BUT he has no right to play the blame game at this sensitive time. He has an opinion and he has expressed it but at this time he should be making Dua and working together and not creating more division.

Lucknow: The general secretary of Ayodhya Sadbhavna Samanvay Samiti, Amarnath Mishra, has lodged a complaint against Salman Nadwi for allegedly demanding Rs 5000 crore as a bribe to change his stand in the Babri title suit.

Mishra has alleged that he gave a written proposal to the expelled member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board who took it to the media.

This eventually led to the ouster of Nadwi from AIMPLB before the issue could be discussed in a board meeting, he said.

Mishra further alleged that he met Nadwi at Nadwa on 4th February in the presence of Imam Council general secretary Haji Masroor Khan.

Speaking to News18, Mishra said, “Maulana Nadwi wants to ‘islamicize’ Ayodhya and wants to convert Ayodhya in new Medina. That is why when he asked for a proposal and then demanded Rs 5000 crore, 200 acres of land and a Rajya Sabha seat.”

He further alleged that Nadwi had put his demands in front of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar whose office in reply said that the Ayodhya issue can only be resolved by brotherhood and harmony and refused to make any deal.

Nadwi has rejected all these allegations and said that he is not familiar with Mishra or Haji Masroor Khan. He said Mishra was lying and his charges were baseless. Nadwi also said that it is all done as a part of conspiracy against him. He, however, said he will not take legal action against Mishra.

The Ayodhya Sadbhavna Samanvay Samiti was created on the initiative of Ravi Shankar. Its main aim is to settle the Ayodhya dispute out of court.

Expelled Muslim Personal Law Board member Maulana Salman Nadvi disassociates himself from Ram Mandir issue

Maulana Salman Nadvi also said that he will return the Board only if senior member Kamal Faruqui and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi are removed.

Chalo at least he has realised his mistake and going with the decision of aimplb and other elders to wait for court order, imagine if Ml. Saad had accepted his mistake and gone with the decision of elders
