Asda Sell ShAzan Halal food, from what I've read from brother Muadh is that in Pakistan there is a Qadyani firm operating by the name of ShEzan. Others have mentioned that the logo looks the same and other mention that they are Barelwi's from Preston. Is there more on this please. Qadyani Zabihah is Haram for us.

This Particular SHEZAN company only does Juices. I'm not sure if thats the same company that is being mentioned as the Qadyani company.

It is owned by this company http://groceryheadoffice.com/brands.php who have many other famous brands too.

That's got me thinking about Ahmed's now.

Although they only probably do pickles, I wouldnt want to be buying it if they are Qadyani too.

Remember Ahmediya is another name for Qadyani. Lets clarify before jumping to conclusions.

The response I got from Spices of India was "Your QUESTION IS TOO BROAD :-)"

I cant believe the response, that too with a smiley face.

I have reveived confirmation from Shazan that they are NOT QADYANI and they are not the same people.

I replied with a simple "That's not a professional response" and I got anoter reply to clarify a little further. However it looks like that they are just resellers.

Sorry, I accidentally hit send before finishing what I wasgoing to say…:

Your question is too broad :-) We sell over 4,000 products…The ones that are Halal are clearly marked in the product descriptions. If themanufacturer claims they are Halal then they will most certainly be Certified.

Kind regards,

Bill.

I went into an Asda last week and saw a whole new section for halal meat. It was called Hajji Baba halal meat.

I haven't had the time to investigate and I wouldnt buy meat from there anyways, but it is good to know these things.

Can anyone shed more light on this company please.

Jazakallahu khair.

Had a few minutes to spare and this is what I've found so far. (They only supply 11 Asda stores in and around London)

http://hbhmeats.co.uk/supplychain.php

Suppliers.

Before you email us about our suppliers, here they are. To our knowledge (Hmm, sounds like they dont really keep track, will need to dig deeper) they are all Halal certified via the most marketed certification body. Please feel free to contact our suppliers about their Halal process. (Thats a bit silly, they should know exactly how the meat is made Halal)

Poultry.

Cappoquin Poultry.

Gafoor Poultry Products.

Red Meat.

Janan Meat Ltd.

Liffey Meats Ltd.

(LINKS ADDED, Still not very clear)
