I always donate to UWT, Ummah welfare trust. I have also set up a standing order with them on a weekly basis, every little helps. The return is much bigger in the Akhirah.

Any way I always tell people about UWT and I tell them to doante to them as they are 100% donation.

So naturally I tell them to do it on line, then I get asked what the website is. I tell them that it is UWT something.

Please DO NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE.

The Website is www.uwt.org PLEASE REMEMBER THATS ALL.

My brother asked me last nite if I remembered the address, then he asked me what would happen if I added .uk after it. I assumed that it would be official site too. WAS I WRONG.

www.uwt.org.uk IS NOT THE SAME, PLEASE BE CAREFULL.

I think Ummah welfare trust need to be told about this danger too. If you can pass this message onto them it could stop the WRONG UWT from getting our Money.

Thank you very much for the heads up brothers. Another charity that is really good at what it does is Unity Welfare Foundation: unitywelfarefoundation.org/

Whilst it is nowhere near the size of UWT, it nevertheless engages in a very noble act. They predominantly provide various charitable services including fully paid marriages, toilet and wash facilities etc for rural and poor areas in Bangladesh. The organisation is run by a number of individuals which also includes UK graduated Alims (Inc Darul Uloom Al Arabia Al Islamia, Bury). The organisations base is in Manor Park, East London.
