Hajj – Journey of a Lifetime
Abu Huraira (radhiyallahu anhu) reports that
Rasullullah (Sallallahu Alaiyhi Wassallam) said: “
Whoever performs Hajj for the sake of pleasing Allah and therein utters no word of evil, nor commits any evil deed, shall remain from it as free from sin as the day on which his mother gave birth to him.’
After the blessed month of
Ramadan comes the auspicious season of
Hajj (Pilgrimage), where an ever-increasing number of brothers and sisters from every possible corner of the earth converge on the holy sites of
Makkah and Medina. It is not only an act of recollection and worship, but also a symbolic act representing the spirit’s return to its homeland – one of the central elements of the
Muslim life.
Hajj is an compulsory duty for all
Muslims physically and financially able to perform it.
In this 1 day seminar organised by Masjid-e-Quba
Shaykh Abdur
Rahman Ibn Yusuf (the masjid’s imam) will guide intending hajji’s (those intending to go for
Hajj this year) on the rulings and methods on how to perform this great ritual from advice on how to prepare before leaving, arriving at Jeddah/Makkah, the various acts of
Hajj and Umrah. all the way to the journey home. Additionally the seminar also has representation for the Council for British Hajji’s – a charity organisation that provides general advice to Hajji on applying to go for Hajj, health and safety awareness and also helps provides the necessary vaccinations for hajji.
”
In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures"
