assalamu allaykum

i have recently seen and heard lots on muslims from different sect/belief calling each other names and no show of brother hood.

people are calling other kaffir and biddati etc etc:

i have not come across our ulema of deoband doing allhamdullila. they speak about the misguidence.

my questions is do we call them our brothers or not... eg salafi/ brelvi

W-Salam,

All Muslims are brothers to us and we may disagree but they are all our brothers.

Jazakullah Khairun

Allah has mentioned Brothers to us in different forms.

We have blood brothers, we have brothers of faith and we have brothers as a race.

A Muslim whose blood brother is a non Muslim, then in the eyes of Allah, they are not brothers. There is a great example of this with regards to one of the captives during the time of the Sahaba. Sorry I cant recall any of the names at the moment.

at the time of Nooh a.s when the earth gushed its water forth readying for the flood, Nooh a.s called to his son to come forth in to the ark. Allah swt at that time made it clear to Nooh a.s that his son is not of no relation as he is amongst the rejected ones (he rejected belief in Allah swt. he also sinned gravely). that his relations are the ones who believe. from that Mufti Menk stated that Muslim brothers are real brothers over blood brothers of non Islamic faith.

its a very vague memory. but I heard it in a lecture by Mufti Menk in his lecture series on stories of the prophets. ill see if I can find & post the link.
