a man may speak of Gods pleasure without giving it much importance and yet be raised in status by his Creator. a man may say something which is abhorrent to God, without attaching any importance to it, and it may sweep him straight into hell. (bukhari)

according to Abu Huraryrah, the prophet recited a verse from the Quran about the day the earth would give its account. then he asked, 'do you know what this account will be?' the listeners replied, 'God and His messenger knows better.' the prophet replied the following: 'the account the earth will give is the witness it will bear to the deeds and misdeeds all men and women have committed throughout its length and breadth, and to the exact moments of their commission. that is what the earths account will be.' (tirmidhi)

love for the life of this world is damaging to the life of the hereafter. anyone who values the life of the hereafter will be indifferent to the life of this world. therefore, prefer which is eternal to that which is temporary.

According to Anas ibn Malik, when Gods messenger said, 'help your brother, irrespective of whether he is the oppressor or the oppressed' a man said, 'O messenger of God, I can help the oppressed, but how can I help the oppressor?' The Prophet replied, 'stop him from committing an act of oppression. That in it self is a form of help.' (Bukhari & Muslim)

when a person sets forth to perform hajj or umrah and passes away enroute, he shall not be brought (before Allah) for judgement, nor will he have to give account. it shall be said to him: 'enter jannah.' (targhib)
