The overall death rate from covid-19 has been estimated at 0.66%, rising sharply to 7.8% in people aged over 80 and declining to 0.0016% in children aged 9 and under. So it's not as dangerous as it is being portrayed. The recovery rate is far higher. Please note, I am not saying the virus does not exist.

Therefore, is having a halal vaccine permitted for experimental reasons, not knowing the outcome of any side effects?

What is known is that there is no immunity from the virus after taking the vaccine.
What is known is that after vaccination, we can still get infected and spread the virus even though we might be able to fight it off, we still put others at risk.

Doctors have raised certain questions in reference to this experiment.

They say that medicine is fine to take because it goes through your system and eventually flushes out. But when it comes to Vaccines, this stays in your body and makes changes to the immune system to adapt.

Some doctors have gone as far as saying that the placenta can have long term effects. Mothers who are of childbearing age should not take this vaccine until more research is conducted and results are known.

Is the vitamin-k injection given to new borns in the UK halaal to accept for injection into to a Muslim baby?

I do not know its ingredients.

Vitamin K injections contain Bovine bile which even if obtained from a á¸¥alÄl animal is one of the seven parts of an animal that canâ€™t be consumed - gallbladder.

However if no alternative is available and it is considered life or limb saving or in its absence the person would go through difficulty it will be permissible to take it.

It is stated by experts that babies naturally have low levels of Vitamin K, which puts them at risk of a potentially life threatening condition named VKBD. The statistics to show its effectiveness are shown as such:

"When infantsÂ do not receive any Vitamin K at birth, statistics from Europe show that 4.4 to 7.2 infants out of 100,000 will develop late VKDB"

"When infantsÂ receive the Vitamin K shot at birth, anywhere from 0 to 0.4 infants per 100,000 get late VKDB."

There is an oral alternative which also contains Haram ingredients, which if chosen will have multiple doses given to the baby over a period of time, the injection is just one dose given at one time. The halaal but significantly less effective (and considered insufficient) alternative is for the woman to increase her vitamin K intake, cdc.gov says regarding this:
"Although eating foods high in vitamin K or taking vitamin K supplements can slightly increase the levels of vitamin K in your breast milk, neither can increase levels in breast milk enough to provide all of the vitamin K an infant needs."

Keeping such info in mind (that is available on the Internet) will the routine Vitamin K shot offered to all new borns be justified for accepting - i.e. to decrease the chances of a potential life threatening disease?

The real question should be:

Question: Is it permissible to take a trial/experimental vaccine which is known to have serious consequences on hundreds and thousands of people, resulting in death for an alleged virus that can, (if not treated with already known, tried and tested medicine), kill the weak, frail and elderly and is known not to be as severe on those who are of average health and has not affected billions more at all and has a much larger recovery rate than serious illnesses or even fatalities?

The alleged virus is only tested by equipment which can also produce a Positive result if it came in contact with juice and many other consumables.
