This is not the time to give sermons about beef in vedas and their scriptures.

Secular Hindus are fighting for the innocent victim, they include people who don't touch meat.

Nothing useful is achieved by defending beef eating habit. Eat less meat and be happy. First priority is to create harmony and a peaceful atmosphere.

A lot changes with Roaring from muslim dominated areas and speaking at a place where muslims are a small minority.

So next time don't defend beef eating before a non-muslim. Just say "it is permissible and not compulsory".

If their scriptures had prohibited the consumption of cow, then there would be leeway in their prohibition and in the Muslims of respecting such demands (to a certain extent).

It's got nothing to do with their original religious beliefs, it's made up and is now being used to create division among the people of India.

Tomorrow when they claim every animal to be God, which they do, and then say that no one is to do their qurbani or eat halal because it is offensive to the Hindus, what should be done then?

We should hold our stance now, lest they take advantage of us and carry on with other prohibitions.

You mean to say, the victim at Dadri would have argued with crowd, look what your scriptures say about beef eating.

And thinking about what will happen tomorrow we should not invite troubles today!!! Give priority to today's issue.

I recall Moulana Ali Mian Nadvi RA's saying that " the affected people have the right to decide about what is best for them. Others can just watch and do dua".

Lynching of Muslim "was premeditated"

Indian government investigators say the lynching of a Muslim man over rumours he slaughtered a core was premeditated and not a spontaneous act.

It said Mohammed Akhlaq in Bisada last month has been planned and a Hindu temple was used " to exhort people of one community to attack a hapless family".

The report gives fuel to allegations that Hindu hardliners are using religious sentiment to whip up anger against India's minority.
