salaam what side of the fence are the people of bangladesh on in terms of deeni/secular? is there a split? what kind of numbers are we looking at in each camp?
how come hasina has been the PM of bangladesh for so long? has she not completed her maximum term?
how come hasina and her party have a lot of suppport from the people of bangladesh?
what kind of support do ulama/deeni people have in general in bangladesh?
bangladesh has the largest tabligh gathering in the whole world. this indicates that bangladeshi people should have strong support towards anything connected to islam. so why is hasina promoting secularism? is she not afraid of losing support from a huge chunk of the population? or are they playing the old divide and conquer game and blaming things on 'al- qaeda/fundamentalists/jihadis/wahabis/salafis/foreign mercenaries'?
